Multi Client Picking Cart (MCPC) is a simple and economical picking solution. The operator can pick up to 8 (16) orders simultaneously, which reduces walk time.
The cart consists of a portable Put-2-Light system enabling several orders to be picked simultaneously. Each cart has an on-board touch screen, a wireless scanner equipped with a small LCD screen, and several Put-2-Light displays. Instructions to the operator are displayed simultaneously on the touch screen and on the screen of the scanner. Put-2-Light displays indicate to which locations of the cart picked products should be put, allowing picked articles to be sorted visually. This eliminates errors that are normally associated with traditional multi-order picking techniques.
The use of the solution allows for a 20–30 percent increase in picking speed. It is most optimal for picking small-sized items.
